Video Roundtables

As part of the Bribery Centre’s core content used to guide companies addressing the Act, it is creating a series of ‘Video Roundtables’. The roundtables will focus on key business sectors or on groups of professionals, bringing together an overview of the keys issues they need to be aware of, or have an understanding of, related to the act.

The first generic roundtable, discussing the background, definition and introduction of the Act was held at the offices of Clifford Chance in London’s Canary Wharf with attendees from the OECD, Clifford Chance, KPMG, The Metropolitan Police Economic Crime Unit and Venalitas. The event was sponsored by Clifford Chance and KPMG. This roundtable looked at the reasons for the act, why the government had to react, what a bribe is, how it will affect UK business and how they should now start to react.
